Validity for entry is not the same as permitted stay
Two different concepts that both follow the visa actually issued. Understanding the difference helps you pick the right option.
Validity for entry
The window in which you may use the visa to enter Iraq. For example, a visa valid for entry within 90 days from issue means you must enter Iraq within those 90 days — it does not mean you can stay for 90 days.
Permitted stay
How long you may remain in Iraq after arrival. A 30-day permitted stay means you can stay up to 30 days from the date you enter — regardless of how long the visa was valid for entry.
Both the validity window and the permitted stay follow the visa actually issued and the conditions stated on it. Always check the conditions printed on your issued visa before travelling.

Conditions & entry
Conditions and entry
A few points that apply regardless of which option you choose.
- The eVisa is typically issued for a single entry — confirm the entry conditions printed on the visa you receive.
- Entry remains subject to the applicable Iraqi entry requirements and the final decision of the relevant Iraqi authorities.
- The options visible to you depend on your nationality and the applicable Iraqi rules; not every option is available to every applicant.
- Travel on the passport used for the application — using a different passport can prevent entry.
